Tour de France Tour: Sage 3:
July 4th 2006 09:30
Bonjour tout le monde!!!
(Hello)
Well, I can finally say I’m now up-to-date!!!!
So, this post features today’s route: July 4 and Stage 3 of the 2006 Tour de France. Like Stage 2, Stage 3 has 6 climbs and three intermediate sprints. The racers leave Luxembourg, take a quick visit into Belgium and finish in Valkenburg, the Netherlands.
We join the bikes as they leave fun-loving ‘Esch’ (featured in yesterday’s post) and head onto the next stop not in France: Valkenburg aan de Geul, which can be found in the southeastern corner of the Netherlands. Valkenburg is another cycle mad city. It has hosted the UCI Road Cycling World Championships 4 times and has hosted a stage finish in the Tour de France twice (1992 and 2006).
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find out much more information. = ( Tune in tomorrow and we’ll be looking at Stage 4 of the competition.
À demain
Melinda
