Tour de France Tour: Stage 19: Le Creusot to Montceau-les-Mines
July 23rd 2006 07:42
Bonjour tout le monde!
Sorry about the delay! Busy day yesterday! So today, you’ll get two posts for the price of one.
Stage 18 was won by Italian Matteo Tosatto; Oscar Pereiro still has the yellow jersey; Cadel Evans is in 5th place overall and Michael Rogers is in 10th.
Stage 19 is a very short stage, being only 52 kilometres long. This stage is an individual time trial and apparently, the result of the Tour is usually decided in this part of the race. It goes from Le Creusot to Montceau-les-Mines.
Le Creusot is a town in the Saône-et-Loire département. It is slowly becoming the next bustling tourist town in the Bourgogne région. There isn’t a lot of information out there about the town, but it does have an official website which can be found by clicking here.

The stage finish will be hosted by Montceau-les-Mines and like Le Creusot, it can be found in the Saône-et-Loire département and Bourgogne region. For more info, check out the town’s official website here.
That’s it for now.
Stay tuned for a preview for Stage 20.

P.S A slight problem with those official web links: the sites are in French. Let me know if you find any helpful sites in English = )
