Vive in a Different France: New Caledonia Part 5
August 11th 2006 08:36
Bonjour tout le monde!
So, today we’re back looking at New Caledonia and I’m going to give some information about the exciting flora and fauna, which inhabits this great island.
There are several native species of fauna, including a flying fox, bat and rat. (Exciting yeah?) The national bird of New Caledonia is called a cagou or kagou: a flightless bird which lays eggs. (Sound familiar?)
For more information on these fascinating plants and animals, you can check out a website in French here.
Ok. See you later. Will be looking at Noumea in the near future
